Borrowed & Blue Best of 2014
Awards are cool, but my clients are cooler!
I was recently voted Best Cape Cod Wedding Photographer by the Borrowed & Blue Cape Cod wedding blog. It was exciting to be honored in this way, and although I didn’t get to mount a podium in an evening gown, I’d still like to thank all of you who helped me get to this point!
First, I have to thank my clients. You guys amaze me. Wedding photography is an investment, no doubt about it. Beyond the money a couple invests, there is a huge commitment of time and trust. You put the biggest day of your lives in my hands, and I want you all to know how touched I am to help capture and keep those memories for you.
Everything I do is to keep my clients happy and safe and to be worthy of the trust they put in me. That’s why you’ll never hear me say the words “not my job.” Right from the beginning, we establish trust: I do the wedding day timelines for all my clients. My team and I have sewn dresses, picked wedgies, given rides to bridal parties, painted toenails….the list goes on. I’m always happy to help if a client is having issues with another vendor. Wedding planning is a roller coaster, and I’m right there with you–I’ve done a ton of happy dances and wiped gallons of tears. If I’ve seen you naked, I’ll never tell.
Second, I want to thank my village. Bridget, our “professional bridesmaid,” has been with me for four years and all my brides love her. Last year, she was very ill and many brides called and write to ask about her. That says a lot about her, and also about my brides (what it says is that you’re all FABULOUS.) You’ll be glad to know she is coming back 100% in April! In the meantime, I am so grateful to Laura, Mads and Jessica for filling in for her. It truly takes a village to run a business, you guys are the best!
This business has always been a joy for me, and it’s because of the wonderful people I get to work with. Thanks again everyone, and thanks to Borrowed & Blue Cape Cod for this wonderful honor!
